Pet Boarding FAQ’s

We’ve had ferrets, sugar gliders, parrots, a pot bellied pig, a chicken and even a goldfish attend camp. For safety reasons, most exotic pets need to be boarded in our private cabins. Please contact us for more information and rates.
Because every camper has unique needs, we offer several options for accommodations and fun activities. Overnight lodging rates start as low as $29.95 for dogs and $21.95 for cats. Give us a call at 541-354-2267 to discuss pricing options.
We charge for lodging by the night with a minimum 3-night stay required over holidays. Your pet may check in anytime during our open hours. Check out time is 12 noon. We charge for activities by the day. We highly recommend that our campers arrive early on drop off day to give them time to participate in all their scheduled activities. We’ve found that diving right into camp life helps them settle into the camp routine and make new friends, rather than missing their families.

We recommend that you make all reservations at least a week in advance, although we can usually accommodate campers with shorter notice. For holidays, we suggest that you make your pet’s reservation at least 1-2 months in advance to ensure availability. So our employees can enjoy holiday time with their families, our office closes at 1 pm on Christmas Eve and Thanksgiving Eve, is closed all day Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, and reopens at noon the following days.

For your pet’s safety, we require all overnight campers to participate in the Veterinary Care Warranty Program. For a nominal per visit fee, this program covers up to $500 of veterinary costs, if needed while your pet is camping with us and for 7 days following your pet’s return home.
Yes, we require that reservations, which may be made the same day if space is available, be secured by a credit card. Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to arrival will incur a $50 cancellation fee. No shows will be charged for the entire reservation. For reservations that include Thanksgiving, Christmas and/or New Year’s, a non-refundable $100 per-pet deposit will be charged at the time of reservation.
Payment is due in full at check-out. We may also require a deposit at check-in. All reservations must be secured by a credit card.
Except for holidays when our office is completely closed, you can usually schedule pick-up or drop-off appointments outside of our regular hours. Please contact us with your requests. Additional fees apply for all after-hours services.

All dogs must be current on their rabies, Bordetella, and DHLPP vaccinations. Cats need to be current on their FVRCP and FeLV vaccinations. We strongly recommend that all vaccinations be updated at least 7 days prior to your pet’s arrival. Puppies and kittens must have all age appropriate vaccinations.

We recommend that all campers be treated with a flea and tick preventative on a regular basis. We inspect all pets for fleas and ticks at check-in. If a pet has fleas or ticks, we’ll bathe them with in a flea and tick shampoo and charge a fee for this extra service.

We make exceptions to our vaccination policy on a case-by-case basis with a written recommendation from your veterinarian.
We’ll feed either our own dry food or the food you provide. Meals are served up to 3 times per day according to your preferences. Please bring only the amount of food needed for your camper’s stay. We donate all excess food to a local animal shelter. For your convenience we offer a variety of special treats that you can purchase as snacks during the day and/or at bedtime for your pet. Cascade Pet Camp provides a biscuit just before bedtime for all campers. There’s a nominal charge for additional feedings and delivering treats brought from home.
Yes, we can administer oral and injectable medications during your pet’s stay for an additional charge. All medications must be in the original labeled containers. Do not package medications in with your pet’s food.

We provide cots and basic bedding for all campers. Orthopedic bedding is also available for an additional charge. We launder all bedding daily, so if you must bring your own bedding from home, please be sure it is labeled and the cover and mattress are 100% machine washable.

Yes, you may bring a couple of your dog’s favorite toys. Please be sure they are clearly marked with your dog’s name. Toys should be at least 2x2x2 inches to keep them out of the drains. Although we do our best to keep track of our campers’ toys, some do occasionally get misplaced so please don’t send any family keepsakes to camp.
To join our Friends-n-Fun group activities, dogs must be social with other dogs. Because of recent changes in veterinary recommendations, we no longer require dogs to be spayed or neutered to participate in play groups. But, females in season and any dog that shows unfriendly behavior or is disruptive to playgroups will not be able to participate. We’ll help you choose a more appropriate camp activity for their stay if needed.
We match our playgroup members based on each participating dog’s individual needs and personality. Age, size, weight, personality and play-style are all important factors. We’ll use your pet’s profile and ongoing observation to match them with other campers and make sure that everyone enjoys playgroup.
We take all dogs out into individual potty runs at 7 am, then again in the middle of the day, and around 7 pm. If your do requires additional Sniff-n-Piddle breaks, you can purchased them individually or as part of our activity packages.
Absolutely! Not all dogs play nicely with others, whether because of fear, chronic pain, unpleasant associations, or a behavioral problem. We designed our activity choices to provide options for all personality types. Be sure to discuss your individual pet’s needs when talking to our reservation specialist.
All of our perimeter fencing is 7 feet tall and buried 1 foot into the ground. Our interior fencing is also 7 feet tall. Several of our potty runs are outfitted with overhangs to prevent climbing escapes. For expert climbers, we recommend one of our Patio Cabins or Bunks that are completely covered on top.
